Details about the data:

Counts represent students who were enrolled in credit-bearing classes as of the fall third-week census. Students with more than one major or degree are counted separately under each major or degree, so that the combined total at the major or college levels will be more than the total number of students.

Gender identity has been collected on the UC admission application only since 2016. Therefore, there is no earlier data available in the nonbinary category. 

Pell Recipient status is provisional until the following fall.

Underrepresented minority (URM) students include those who identify as American Indian/Alaskan Native, Black/African American, Chicano/Latino, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.

STEM Majors include those in the Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE) and the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS).

UCOP FTE follows the UC systemwide method for calculating full-time equivalent students, while the workload FTE method uses a common denominator of 15 units for undergraduates and 12 units for graduate students. 

3QA are the average of three quarters' headcount/FTE which includes fall, winter, and spring in the academic year. 

Medical residents are not included.
