Details about the data:

Figures represent the average number of years to complete the degree for students who finished anytime in the academic year listed.

Academic year averages treat summer graduations as identical to spring quarter; calendar year averages count summer graduations as an additional quarter.

Separate measures are also provided for years elapsed, the more common method, but also years enrolled, which deduct any periods in between when the student was not enrolled at all (e.g., on leave, stopout, etc.)

A small number of degree earners are excluded from these calculations in rare cases where there were multiple graduate program enrollments at different dates or missing original matriculation details.

Underrepresented minority (URM) students include those who identify as American Indian/Alaskan Native, Black/African American, Chicano/Latino, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.

STEM Majors include those in the Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE) and the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS).
