Figures represent the postdoctoral headcount and the time in position in the years listed above.
Median years in postdoc is the median cumulative years in postdoc positions among those whose appointment ended in the year shown. If a postdoc wasn't in the same jobcode in the past consecutive 12 months, he/she is treated as the postdoc position is ended.
Underrepresented minority (URM) postdocs include those who identify as American Indian/Alaskan Native, Black/African American, Chicano/Latino, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.
International postdoc are identified using IPEDS definition.
