Details about the data:
Percentages represent the share of the initial first-time, full-time cohort that was still enrolled in subsequent years. Retention is measured on a fall-to-fall basis, so year 1 retention means students who completed the first year and returned the following fall.
The default UCR Overall measure is calculated at the university level and is not affected by changing colleges or majors. The college and major options report retention within those academic units, based on the student's declared major as of their first fall enrollment.
Underrepresented minority (URM) students include those who identify as American Indian/Alaskan Native, Black/African American, Chicano/Latino, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.
STEM Majors include those in the Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE) and the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS).
